The Hillside School, a boarding and day school for middle school boys in grades 5 through 9, is seeking a full time head nurse. This position includes a competitive salary and benefits.

Duties: Provide direct nursing care for students; maintain documentation; parent contacts; coordinate with off-campus providers; medication administration and designation; maintain supplies; active on the health services team; support faculty as needed.

Lead Nurse – Fay School

Grades 1-9, Founded in 1866 Fay School is a Junior Boarding School for Grades 6-9 serving 370 students. The health office is open M-F 6:30 a.m. – 11 p.m. and Sat & Sun 8 a.m. – 11 p.m.

We have a current need for a proven school nurse leader. The Lead Nurse is responsible for planning and providing health services for the students of the School and of the School’s summer programs.

The Lead Nurse needs to be a Registered Nurse (RN) with current licensure in the State of Massachusetts and should be licensed as a school nurse by the Massachusetts Department of Education.

Must maintain certification in CPR, including AED training and First Aid.

Hold a minimum of a baccalaureate degree in nursing from an accredited nursing program, master’s degree in nursing or related field preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of community/ school health required.

Candidates need be able to relate to international students and the ages of the School’s population as well as work collaboratively with other members of the schools administrative staff.

Must complete ongoing education program pertinent to the evolving specialty area of school health and school nursing practice as well as meet the continuing education requirements for licensure in Massachusetts.
